The readme/manual is currently pretty lame. The program interface is rather crude. There are numerous bugs (no known fatal ones :) and such. There is no way to save artwork to a pict file (Hint: take a lot of screen shots). These things and much more will be fixed in a future release.
To resize the brush while painting, try holding down the option and control keys.
Be very careful about switching programs while painting, as all artwork will be lost (we will fix this in a future release).
To save your artwork, please take screenshots (command-shift-3).
If you would like to have your Psychedelic Studio artwork placed on the Web in the Psychedelic Gallery, please email nkugland@mcn.org.

1-1-About the Psychedelic Studio
The Psychedelic Studio is a series of computer-based paint brushes that enable creative expressions that have been only imagined until now. The Psychedelic Studio brushes are a breakthough in creative expression that uses the power of your computer to create patterns, colors and shapes of remarkable complexity. Whereas other paint programs attempt to replicate what can be accomplished with common physical media, (like oil paint, watercolor or pastels), the Psychedelic Studio is comprised of over 50 brushes that make use of the millions of instructions a computer can execute per second and, in so doing, creates a completely new form of expression that cannot be duplicated in any other medium.
The forms and patterns created with the Psychedelic Studio can be imported to other imaging and composition software packages, such as Photoshop, Painter and others, to create a final composition. From there, the images can be used as components in a graphic or used as texture maps for solid modeling and animations. Futhermore, existing images, artwork and photographs can be imported into the Psychedelic Studio and altered to create special effects. Think of the Psychedelic Studio as one more arrow in your computer-based quiver of graphic and artistic tools.
If you decide to become an registered user of the Psychedelic Studio you will have the option to acquire the full, commercial version at a substantial savings.
Owners of the full version have free access to the access to hundreds of new brushes that will be made available on-line from the Fishrock web site. Simply type in your private PIN and download the new brushes to your hard drive. The next time you start up the Psychedelic Studio, all your new brushes will be there, ready for you to use.
Once you have seen the sample artwork, used the sample brushes and received your very own copy, we guarantee you will love the Psychedelic Art Studio. Please explore the art gallery to see what some of our users have created using the Psychedelic Studio. And check out the demonstration brush and other examples here at the web site.

3-About the Fishrock Fish-Guy
In 1950, the Fish-Guy hatched from the logging-polluted Steelhead spawning waters of the Gualala river. A more or less normal fish, Guy was foolish enough to accept an offer in 1953 from his evil half-brother, Julio, for a Bahamian vacation (before Julio was a travel agent, he sold Prime Florida Real Estate). While admiring the collection of the Nassau Harbor Aquatic Museum of Colonial Spanish Antiquities, Guy was caught in a deadly rain of contaminated Bovine Brains (445,780, to be exact—all infected with Mad Cow Disease) leaking from the rusty, twisted hull of a sinking barge.
It was later discovered the barge was owned by the same company who was responsible for the introduction of killer bees to Brazil...
Guy was admitted to the Marine Hospital in a delirious, nearly unconcious state. After enduring a 14-hour operation, he regained conciousness only to learn his brain was hopelessly perforated and would have to be replaced. Not one to give up easily, he canvassed the Yellow Pages from his hospital tank. "Hi-Val Brain: Quality gray cells with no money down!" read the ad to which Guy eventually responded. The price was right, but unfortunately they only had human brains from burnt-out programmer stock.
After his brain transplant, Guy was advised by his hole-istic family doctor, Jack "Take 40 and I'll drop by in the morning" Kevorekean to take large quantities of Vitamin C and hallucinogenic drugs to counter sudden urges to sneak out the back way to order pizza and Net surf...
